Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance

By creating an account, using the App (web or Android), or calling our developer APIs, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service. See also our Legal notice (regulatory positioning) and Privacy Policy. Both are part of these Terms by reference.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or (when paid billing is open) make a purchase. You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately at support@stokeonstocks.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Subscriptions & billing

• Plans. Demo (the sample book, always free) and Pro (your own record, all of it). Pro is ₹299 a month or ₹2,499 a year in India, and $9 a month or $79 a year outside India.
• Early access. Pro is free during early access. We will announce the end of early access in the app and by email at least 30 days before any charge applies. No account is moved to a paid plan automatically, and nothing is charged without your explicit purchase.
• Card / UPI checkout is currently paused while early access is on; there is no self-serve buy button on the site today.
• Founding member price. If your account was created during early access and you choose Pro, your price stays at the early-access price (₹299 a month or ₹2,499 a year, or $9 / $79 outside India) for as long as your Pro subscription continues without a break.
• Taxes. Indian prices include GST, and we issue a GST invoice for every charge. For customers outside India, any applicable local tax is shown at checkout before you pay. The amount shown before you pay is the full amount charged.
• Renewal. When paid billing is open, a paid plan is billed in advance for the month or year you choose and renews until cancelled. Where you set up a recurring card or UPI payment, we (through our payment processor) send you a notice before each renewal charge, as Reserve Bank of India rules require, and you can cancel the plan from Account or the mandate from your bank or UPI app at any time.
• Price changes. Catalog prices are shown on our Pricing page. We will never raise the price of a plan you're already subscribed to without at least 30 days' notice, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
• If you don't buy Pro. Your record stays saved. You can download all of it, free, at any time from Account, Your data. We never delete your data because you did not pay; we delete it only when you ask, or under the retention rules in our Privacy Policy.
• When payments are taken, they are processed by Razorpay (India); we never see or store your full card number.

4. Product updates

Any tier you're paying for automatically includes future improvements to that tier at no extra charge. We don't re-charge you for updates to a plan you already own. The Android app is a wrapper around the same website, so it updates automatically too, with no separate app-store update needed for most changes.

5. Acceptable use

• Don't try to bypass rate limits, tier restrictions, or authentication.
• Developer API access is for your own product or research. Don't resell raw access to our API as your own competing API product.
• Don't use the service for anything illegal, or to scrape/republish our content wholesale.

6. Intellectual property

The StokeOnStocks name, the site, the App, our developer APIs, and their content (books, video, calculators) are owned by us. Your own data (trades, positions, watchlist entries you enter) stays yours; we don't claim ownership of it, and you can request its export or deletion (see the Privacy Policy).

7. No investment advice; limitation of liability

Every tool, workflow, and API endpoint outputs a generic calculation over inputs you supply. Nothing on StokeOnStocks is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security, and we are not liable for trading losses, missed gains, or decisions made using our outputs. The service is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana.

9. Grievance Officer

10. Changes to these terms

If we change these Terms materially, we'll update the date above and, where practical, notify active subscribers by email before the change takes effect.
